Kari-Lea's Couple Latest Encounter

Problems are mounting with Tyler and Angela. With dog Chaos assuming the role of the child in the household, Kari-Lea's couple has been forced to deal with increasingly strenuous responsibilities. During our visit with Tyler and Angela, we were shocked to see a real life dispute over who would take the adorable pup outdoors for some exercise. Ange summed up her frustration when she exclaimed, "I'm so mad I could throw a shoe!" It seems that we still have some work to do with these kids. We wll continue to observe and guide Tyler and Angela and will update our fans when we meet again with Kari-Lea's couple.

Stay tuned for a new segment on the Kari-Lea Show: New Pet Bootcamp!!

End of an era on The Kari-Lea Show!

This is a reminder to our fans that we are nearing the end of our live on location work at The University of Western Ontario. In the couple weeks that we have remaining we will be interviewing as many individuals and attending as many events as possible. Stay tuned in to catch the action before it's too late.

As many of you saw, one of our newest guests, Scott, was the feature in phase four of Why Aren't I Laughing?. Through careful analysis of his situation, our experts at The Kari-Lea Show have agreed that Scott was not laughing because he was the victim of trickery. Here's the scenario:

Thursday March 10, 2005
Scott is taken to lunch with some very smart and good looking colleagues. Upon entering the classy restaurant, Scott is told that his peers are crazed with bravery and that they will allow the 'server' to decide which meal they will have. Scott, feeling pressure to live up to the expectations of his courageous peers, eagerly decides that he too will forfeit his lunchtime decisions. Naturally he approaches the counter first and allows the server to choose a meal for him. Then, much to his dismay, his colleagues approach the same counter and order very specific dishes with great confidence in their voices. Scott is taken aback. He remains speechless (and laughless) for some time.
Fortunately for everyone involved, Scott enjoys spicy chicken and enjoyed his meal. It was the mere trickery that had left him without laughter.
As always, we will continue to work with Scott as he recovers from his misadventure.

In other more saddening news, Spunk'd, my popular hidden audio recorder show, has not been picked up for a third season. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all that took part in the show and didn't press charges. It was a great ride.
Watch for seasons 1 & 2 to be released on DVD in the coming months.*

The Kari-Lea Show is currently awaiting a press release from our sister rock band Icewater. Rumour has it they're considering a spicier name. We'll post details as they become available to us.

This week we will be continuing our Kari-Lea Couple segment with Tyler and Ange. It should be interesting! We'll post a summary on the site this week...be sure to check back.

And there you have it!

*Since Spunk'd was a hidden audio recording show, DVDs will feature audio only.

Kari-Lea's Wildest Dreams Sweepstakes--Phase Two!!

The Kari-Lea Show's Wildest Dreams Silver Hyundai has struck again! This time it wowed cast, crew, and fans at the Althouse production of Into the Woods. Kari-Lea was on hand at the show to make the spectators' wildest dreams come true--she played in the orchestra at the show! Her efforts conjured cheers and applause and she summed up her experience as she spoke to cameras after the final performance:
"It's just nice to get out of that studio and to be live on location giving back to the community. The joy on the faces of the cast, orchestra, and fans is something that you can't buy. I'm so grateful that I was able to make these dreams come true for everyone involved!"
Kari-Lea took the show to another level as she treated fans to a backstage tour that featured candid interviews, some Into the Woods blunders, and some exclusive footage of rising tensions prior to opening night. Interviews with orchestra members throughout the show illustrated focus and poise that is not often acknowledged in the performance world. RJ attributed his success to the donation of McDonalds French Fries, while Jamie noted that she had "a job to do". Watch for Jamie on an upcoming related episode of Why Aren't I Laughing where we will document her struggles with a malfunctioning saxophone. It's a show you won't want to miss!

Also, keep an eye out for the newest Kari-Lea Show segment! K Walking should have us all rolling on the floor as we ask ordinary citizens some basic questions and then laugh at their answers! What a ride! Stay tuned!

We at The Kari-Lea Show would like to thank everyone at Althouse for welcoming us and making our show successful. And of course we'd like to give a shout out to all of our fans and thank you for your continued support.
